Research Assistant I in the Division of Spine Surgery of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 503971) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in medical sciences, health sciences, statistics, biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, material science or a related discipline. Research experience in a clinical setting including subject recruitment, survey sampling and clinical assessment; as well as experience in laboratory work including animal surgery and husbandry would be advantages. Basic knowledge of statistics including data entry and analysis is also a plus. Applicants should demonstrate a good degree of intellectual curiosity, self-discipline, and the capability to thrive in a teamwork environment. The appointee will work in a clinical environment involving clinical trials and contact with patients. He/She will perform data capturing, analysis and management, and may have the opportunity to work with the laboratory and the animal unit.
