Research Assistant I/II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 504357) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline; or a Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines with at least one year’s post-qualification work experience in elderly, gerontechnology, healthcare or social service setting. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, a strong sense of responsibility, passion and interest in social sciences research and data analytics, and can be well adapted to teamwork.  They should be familiar with statistical software (such as SPSS, STATS, R, etc.), and have adequate knowledge of quantitative research methods.

The appointee will contribute to multiple projects relating to active ageing and family caregiving. He/She will be responsible for data cleaning, analysis and presentation; report drafting, liaison with NGO partners; and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
