Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 508040), to commence as soon as possible on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a strong track record of high-quality research. They should have excellent project management skills, good coordination, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently and efficiently; a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Experience in both ischemic animal models and large human cohort studies is highly preferred. The appointee will be responsible for the organization and co-ordination of the on-going obese human cohort study, and conduct Bed-to-bench study using various animal models. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
