Assistant Research Officer/Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Health Economics, Policy and Management of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508094) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in health policy or health services research with at least five years’ public health experience. They should have a strong quantitative background; proficiency using R, SAS or other statistical packages; and an excellent command of written and spoken English. A demonstrated record of academic research publications and grants, and expertise in the analysis of large and complex health datasets would be highly advantageous. Preference will be given to those with experience in vaccine safety reporting systems, developing simulation models for health outcomes research, and conducting health policy evaluations.
The appointee will assist in an interdisciplinary multi-year research programme to evaluate a vaccine safety programme to improve COVID-19 vaccination coverage and health outcomes. The appointee will plan and coordinate the research project, analyse data, prepare reports and publications, supervise junior research staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
