Project Officer (at the rank of Technical Officer/Clerk I)/ Assistant Project Officer (at the rank of Clerk II) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 508339) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably with frontline service experience in a substantial medical organization or NGO.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), good competency in MS Office applications as well as an appropriate level of IT skills. They should be self-motivated and willing to learn, with effective communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Project Officer.

The appointee will assist a multidisciplinary research team participating in genomics and bioinformatics analysis on cancer. He/She will be responsible for providing general administrative support including project and database management, scheduling, coordination of the study, data entry and documentation, liaison with the team members and external stakeholders, answering queries on a daily basis; and perform any other office duties as assigned.
