Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 509275), to commence as soon as possible for one to two year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in cancer/molecular/cellular biology. They should be passionate about scientific and clinical research, and highly motivated to make contributions to patients with major medical needs. They should have competence in signal transduction pathway techniques (such as immunofluorescence staining, functional studies, CRISPR/Cas9 and gene knockdown), experience in handling mice models (preferably the tumour xenograft model), a good command of English, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as a team. A good publication record would be favourable.
The appointee will join a research group with opportunities to conduct projects on uterine cancers supported by major research grants. A main focus will be in vitro/in vivo experiments for preclinical drug testing. The appointee will also assist in maintaining the smooth running of a research laboratory.
