Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/ Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health (Ref.:512329), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subjected to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the environmental health science, biomedical engineering, medical science, materials science or a related discipline. They should have a good command of spoken and written English; good interpersonal, organizational, and communicational skills; and a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in material characterization, environmental and/or human sample analysis, and cell/animal experiments is an advantage. Preference will be given to those who are immediately available.
The appointee will work on research projects related to air pollution panel study and cancer epidemiology with an aim to identify the carcinogenic agents in coal and its emissions and elucidate the carcinogenesis mechanisms. He/She will plan and conduct laboratory work, interpret and present results, write research reports, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
