Senior Technical Officer in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 512502) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in science, with at least 3 year’s laboratory work experience and/or relevant administrative experience. They should have a good command of spoken English, excellent English writing skills, fluency in Putonghua, good computer knowledge including Chinese typing, good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
The appointee will assist in projects related to chemical testing and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) testing. He/She will provide training for staff and students in TCM purification techniques, provide administrative support to the research team, liaise with laboratories in the Mainland China on human resources and financial matters, administer research grant applications, and perform other duties as assigned.
