Senior Laboratory Assistant/Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 513881) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed­-term basis with contract­ end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Higher Diploma or above, with working knowledge of Chemistry, Nuclear Medicine or related sciences.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluent Mandarin is a plus), good organizational and interpersonal skills with analytical thinking; and be proactive, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team.  Preference will be given to holders of a valid driving license (Class 1 and Class 2).  

The appointee will work primarily to deliver radioactive pharmaceuticals (stored in a well-protected leaded boxes) together with chemist and assistant chemist.  He/She will be responsible for inventory management, record keeping, data input and vehicle maintenance.  Adequate training in radiation safety will be provided before handling of radioactive materials.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
