IT Officer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 515234) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or related disciplines. They should have (i) at least 3 years’ work experience as a programmer and/or in application development; (ii) proficiency in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, and MySQL/MariaDB; (iii) experience in content management systems, search engine optimization, web analytics, troubleshooting for PC and Mac, virtualization, and network-attached storage; and (iv) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese). They should be a fast-learner, hard-working, and able to work well with the dynamic teaching and research teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of SharePoint and project management applications would be an advantage.

The appointee will design, develop and maintain websites and database systems; assist in the development of new IT projects and enhancement of IT infrastructures; and perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
