Assistant Research Officer/Post-doctoral Fellow (ARO/PDF) (several posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 516236) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, or a two-year temporary basis (for PDF)/fixed-term basis (for ARO), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in medical science, public health or related disciplines with proven knowledge of both biological and social sciences. They should have substantial experience in statistical analysis and laboratory research, an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online survey tools, and good problem-solving, communication, organization and administrative skills. They should be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work independently as well as a team. The appointees will participate in molecular/cellular-based and cohort studies. He/She will assist in managing research projects; prepare scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; perform data analysis; provide general administrative and operational support; liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. For ARO, the appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
