Part-time Research Assistant II/Student Research Assistant (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref: 516958) (to commence as soon as possible for six months, with the possibility of renewal)

For part-time Research Assistant II, applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above. For Student Research Assistant, applicants should be current undergraduate or postgraduate students, preferably in public health, medical science or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good interpersonal and communication skills especially with elderly people. They should also be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

The appointees will assist in the “Hong Kong Elderly Biobank” research project. They will be responsible for recruiting participants via telephone and collecting data through face-to-face interviews across territory-wide community health centres in Hong Kong, as well as performing administrative tasks as assigned. They will be expected to work during daytime on weekdays for not more than 30 hours per week. In rare cases, applicants may be required to work outside normal office hours or weekends. This post will allow applicants to gain excellent practical experience in the medical / public health field. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Ms. Renee Chu at reneec@hku.hk.
