Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 516980) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants possess a Bachelor's degree or above in statistics, public health or related disciplines may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II. Those with more work experience or/and higher qualification may be considered as Senior Research Assistant. They should have a strong statistical and mathematical sense, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of statistical software (e.g. R) is required. Knowledge of programming or experience in data management would be advantages.
The appointees will handle large datasets, manage and analyse statistical data on infectious diseases (e.g. COVID-19 and influenza), assist in the preparation of academic publications and reports, and perform other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
