Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 517185), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences. They should have a track record of high-quality impactful research as indicated by publication record and external grants. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated records on gynaecological cancer research and ability in obtaining competitive external research funding. They should also demonstrate proven strong commitment to teaching, and excellence in student supervision at postgraduate level. The appointee is expected to develop a high-quality scholarly research programme in gynaecological oncology; publish in top-tier journals; participate in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision at both Master and Ph.D. levels; and provide services/administrative support at Departmental, Faculty and University levels. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
