IT Technician (Learning Environment Services) in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 517313) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Audio-Visual (AV) or Information Technology (IT) related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good communication, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should also have good knowledge of and some relevant experience in the following areas:

  • learning space design, operation management and venue maintenance
  • video conference software/equipment management and support (experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom and knowledge of various VC end-point devices are preferred)
  • event venue support including audio-visual equipment setup (hands-on experience in the operation of projection system and audio system is preferred)
  • multimedia support
  • equipment (AV/IT) setup and configuration
  • learning tools/technologies evaluation

Those with certification in ITIL, CTS, PRINCE2 and relevant experience in project management are preferred.

The appointee will work primarily on learning space management, project management, event and multimedia support, collaboration in IT application systems (e.g. IoT, RFID, location information based), and perform other duties as assigned.
