Legal Executive (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Technology Transfer Office (Ref.:517634) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.)

Applicants should possess a Diploma or above, with at least 2 years’ administrative/secretary/legal support experience, preferably in a law firm, intellectual property agency or inhouse legal department.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); proficiency in PC applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook); excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and a strong sense of responsibility.  They should also be a good team player, attentive to detail, detail-oriented, and willing to learn and develop career in the intellectual property industry.  Knowledge of and experience in intellectual property prosecution and portfolio management are highly preferable but not essential. 

The appointee will provide comprehensive executive and secretarial support to the IP management team; handle daily correspondences, communication and appointments; maintain up-to-date filing system and record keeping; prepare and review straightforward or standard agreements; response to IPR related inquires and requests; and perform miscellaneous and ad-hoc tasks as required.  Information about the Office can be obtained at
