Research Assistant II in the School of Public Health (Ref: 518972) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, medical science or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good interpersonal and communication skills especially with elderly people. They should also be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. The appointee will assist in the “Hong Kong Elderly Biobank” research project. They will be responsible for recruiting participants via telephone and collecting data through face-to-face interviews across territory-wide community health centres in Hong Kong, as well as performing administrative tasks as assigned. In rare cases, he/she may be required to work outside normal office hours/on weekends. He/She will gain excellent practical experience in the medical/public health field from this post.
