IT Officer in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 519072) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary; or on a one-year temporary term, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline; a good command of written and spoken English; and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. High-calibre fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
Applicants should also have good knowledge of and relevant experience in SOME of the following areas:
- database programming (PL/SQL, JDBC) with Oracle databases and data integration (REST API, JSON)
- web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, Node.js)
- web and app programming (Java, Servlet)
- data analytics technologies especially using MS Power BI
The appointee will work on the development and maintenance of web applications and mobile apps, and coming projects on data analytics and digital transformation, being responsible for collecting and analyzing user requirements; conducting design, development and maintenance of enterprise-based IT systems; providing quality IT services to the University community; coordinating with stakeholders; and performing other duties as assigned.
