Research Assistant I in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519470) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, medical science or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (the command of Cantonese is mandatory, a command of both Cantonese and Putonghua will be an advantage), and good interpersonal and communication skills especially with elderly people. They should also be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
The appointee will assist in the “Hong Kong Elderly Biobank” research project. He/She will be responsible for recruiting participants via telephone and collecting data through face-to-face interviews across territory-wide community health centres in Hong Kong, as well as performing administrative tasks as assigned. In rare cases, he/she may be required to work outside normal office hours/on weekends. He/She will gain excellent practical experience in the medical/public health field from this post.
