Technical Manager/Assistant Technical Manager/Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Data Manager) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519626) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics, computer science, informatics or related quantitative disciplines, with at least 3 years’ experience in data management, programming and statistics. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. They should be responsible, mature, organized, and attentive to details. Experience in handling large and complex datasets is highly preferred. A strong statistical background and experience in the analysis of epidemiological data using R, STATA, SAS or other statistical packages would be advantages. Those with less experience may be considered as Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer.
The appointee will be primarily responsible for the data management of a large population-based cohort with over 46,000 participants in 20,000 households. He/She will manage data dictionaries; perform data cleaning, integration and report; set up data extract routines; conduct statistical analysis; ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and University guidelines; and perform other duties as assigned.
