IT Officer in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 519630) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong communication, interpersonal, customer relations, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. They should also have good knowledge of and relevant experience in some of the following areas:
- PC and software configuration, deployment, management, and support
- network trouble shooting
- deskside and VIP support
- service desk support
- video conference equipment and software management and support (experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom and knowledge of different end-point devices are preferred)
- project management
- Windows and Linux server administration and operations
Those with certification in ITIL and relevant experience in project management are preferred.
The appointee will support a range of IT services, conduct project management and perform other duties as assigned.
