Part-time Student Research Assistant in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519661) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should be current undergraduate or postgraduate in public health, statistics, or other related disciplines in life/medical sciences. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English; good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and a strong sense of responsibility and interest in the said research area. They should be detail-orientated and able to work collaboratively in a team. Experience in infectious disease epidemiology and statistical analysis would be an advantage. Quantitative skills and proficiency in statistical or computer modelling software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata, SPSS, Matlab, C++) are highly preferred.
The appointee will assist in studies investigating the transmission dynamics of COVID-19. He/She will conduct literature reviews, assist in data cleaning and analysis, prepare publications and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
