Senior Clerk/Clerk I in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519767) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)
Applicants should possess a good university degree, preferably a postgraduate research degree, in biomedical sciences, public health, science or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ working experience in the higher education sector (i.e. university). They should have knowledge and experience in project management, office administration, human resource management and external communication. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin); good organizational, financial management, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; a high level of computer/paper document processing efficiency; good teamwork; the ability to efficiently multi-task; and the capacity for independent action and initiative. Experience in knowledge and technology transfer for R&D is a plus.
The appointee will assist Principal Investigators in research management and administrative duties. He/She will also assist in the research team’s R&D initiative and implementation. He/She will liaise with various stakeholders and collaborators of the research (e.g. finance, HR, PR, research, educational, corporate and government sectors); monitor project progress and reporting; financial management, HR matters, regulatory approval, agreement drafting and negotiation, patent document preparation, and event planning; and perform other duties as assigned.
