Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health (Ref.: 519866) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in biostatistics, public health, preventive medicine, or a discipline related to biomedical science. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), and a keen interest in research on epidemiology and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as a team. Experience in carrying out fieldwork for similar projects would be an advantage.

The appointees will recruit subjects, conduct health education and collect data for a range of ongoing community field studies, and perform general administrative duties and other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
