Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519915) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, social sciences or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), effective interpersonal and communication skills, good organisational and time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, excellent telephone manners, attention to details, and the ability to work independently and responsibly in a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to those with experience and a keen interest in clinical research and project coordination. Certifications in first aid, electrocardiogram, and/or phlebotomy would be advantageous. Those with more experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I. 

The appointees will work on a community-based research project as part of the ‘Healthy Human Global Project – Hong Kong’ and the FAMILY Cohort, a large population-based cohort with over 46,000 participants in 20,000 households. They will conduct fieldwork research; recruit participants; administer health questionnaires and assessments; collect data; handle biological specimens of community-based, ambulatory and well volunteers; assist in research administration; and perform other research duties as assigned. Working irregular hours/shift duties and off-campus will be required.
