Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Biomarker Discovery and Clinical Proteomics in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 520194), to commence as soon as possible for one to three years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, preferably with experience in multiomics and/or bioinformatics.  They should have evidence of high-quality research as indicated by publication record; project management skills; and the ability to work independently and efficiently.  The appointee will use advanced quantitative proteomics platforms such as Olink and Simoa Technology to discover and validate disease-specific biomarkers in clinical samples. Details of the R&D activities can be found at www.sklpb.hku.hk and www.antibody.hku.hk.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to antibody@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. Appointment on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
