Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics and Cancer Genomics in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (Ref.: 520245), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genetics, computational biology or other relevant disciplines, and in-depth experience with at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, C/C++, JAVA, etc. They should be highly motivated individuals with the ability to work in a team environment and with good oral and written communication skills in English. The abilities to work independently, participate in highly collaborative projects, and contribute intellectually to research development are requisites for the position. Experience in cancer research and/or molecular biology will be an advantage. Preference will be given to those with expertise in AI in medical imaging, and/or long-read sequencing, and with strong interests in translational research utilizing medical imaging and/or cancer genomics to study liver cancer. Those who have strong interest in translational research and appreciate the complexity of biological systems are particularly encouraged to apply.
