Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 520246), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science/Chemical engineering, bioengineering, and medicine and work in the broad areas of nanoscience for renewable energy, bioengineering, and nanomedicine.  Fluency in written and spoken English, good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation are essential.  The group’s research programs will be highly interdisciplinary and collaborative with other groups in the School of Science, Engineering and Medicine at HKU as well as leading groups in the Greater Bay Area.  Specific research topics include (but not limited to): (1) Nanomaterials research; (2) Materials based renewable energy research; (3) Nanomedicine and bioengineering research.   Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to chemdept@hku.hk.
