Laboratory Manager (at the rank of Senior Technical Officer) in School of Public Health (Ref.: 520289) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or related fields, a Master degree in management or business administration, and with at least 2 years’ working experience with biosafety level 2 agents. Preference will be given to those with experience in lab management. The appointee will work on research projects on influenza and other respiratory viruses. He/She will participate in SOP preparation and implementation, train and supervise junior research staff and postgraduate students, assist in laboratory management, monitor research progress, and prepare reports. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
