IT Officer/IT Technician for Estates Systems Team in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 522479)
We are looking for an IT Officer to join Information Technology Services (ITS) to provide quality IT Services for the development and maintenance of ITS's Estates Systems.
The appointee will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Estates Office related systems, including Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System, Car parking and reservation system, Shuttle Bus mobile application, and liaising with administrative offices and department users in the University.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline; a good command of written and spoken English; and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should also have good knowledge of and relevant experience in SOME of the following areas:
- Hands-on experience in Oracle database, DB2 and MySQL;
- Hands-on experience on data integration using REST API, JSON;
- Knowledge on software development lifecycle and methodologies;
- Knowledge on IT Service Management (ITIL4) and Project Management (PRINCE2);
- Knowledge on IBM TRIRIGA is a definite advantage; and
- Knowledge on Power Platform (including use of Power Apps, Power Pages and Power Automate) is an advantage
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as IT Technician
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
