Senior IT Assistant in the Department of Geography (Ref.: 523337)

We are seeking a Senior IT Assistant to join the Department of Geography to provide quality IT support for our daily operations and teaching activities.

 

The Role

The appointee will be responsible for technical support in the department, including setting up and maintaining both hardware and software of PCs, servers, networks, AV equipment, and system infrastructure. Other responsibilities include inventory keeping, collaborating with vendors and suppliers for project execution, and handling ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A Diploma or above in information technology or related disciplines;
  • Willingness and capability to learn quickly and work independently;
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in in-house IT support preferred, but fresh graduates will also be considered;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • IT proficiency, effective organizational and communication skills;
  • Self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility.

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totaling up to 10% of the basic salary.
