Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 523851) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ solid work experience.  They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and English; a strong sense of responsibility; IT proficiency; and good organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills.  They should also be self-motivated, attentive to details, and able to multitask and work independently as well as in a team.  Those with less experience will be considered for the post of Clerk II.

The appointee will perform a full range of administrative duties including secretarial support to the committees and the management; handling accounting and procurement tasks, assisting in academic programmes and student matters; facility management, research grant administration, and other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or a written test.  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 523176) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of the basic salary.
