Applications are invited for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref: 526711) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

The Department is conducting a mental wellness project in collaboration with NGO partners in the community. It aims to develop a viable and sustainable best practice model to promote mental wellness and prevent depression among middle-aged to older adults in Hong Kong.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Social Work, Psychology, other Social Sciences, Statistics, or other related disciplines. Those with a strong background and a track record in mental health-related research and publications are particularly welcome to apply.

The appointees will assist the Project Director and Project Managers in implementing various research studies, facilitating data collection and management, writing scientific publications and reports, supervising junior research staff, and performing any other duties as assigned. They will have ample opportunities to work with research professionals, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and senior social workers in HKU and our other research collaborators overseas.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
