Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (Ref.: 526936) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science is a newly established research institute at HKU, aiming at building a world-class institute in the novel area: data science.  We are a young institute welcoming staff who wish to explore, advance and develop career in a diverse environment with different learning opportunities, as well as value the importance of teamwork and a prospering work culture.

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR have obtained minimum of Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 3 years’ working experience, preferably in tertiary institutions or in the education sector. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal, communication and organization skills, computer literacy, and ability to multitask under pressure and work both independently and as part of the team.  They should also be detail-oriented and have a strong sense of responsibility.  Applicants with strong knowledge of PC and software applications such as Excel and experience with e-Procurement, are highly preferred.

The appointee will render clerical support to the operation of the Institute, including daily operation on e-Procurement system for procurement matters and financing, office maintenance, general programme administration (Research Postgraduate (RPg)), and carry out other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
