Applications are invited for appointment as  Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology (Ref.: 528717), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Medical Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.  They should demonstrate (i) evidence of international recognition and scholarship; (ii) the ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; (iii) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publications and external grants; and (iv) a strong commitment to engage students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The appointee will provide leadership in imaging research with particular focus on medical imaging AI research, and assist with managing AI-related infrastructures within the Department.  He/She is expected to participate in applications for external competitive research grants for the Department, and will contribute to teach undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supervise student projects and theses, and take up administrative duties as required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
