Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (ref.:528784) (to commence in mid-Oct 2024 for one year).

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Social Policies, Social Work, Political Science, or related disciplines. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of responsibility and proficiency in both written and spoken Cantonese and English. They should also possess prior experience in qualitative research, including conducting interviews and focus group discussions, as well as expertise in qualitative data analysis methods such as content analysis, narrative analysis, and thematic analysis. Prior experience in scale development and validation would be considered a plus. Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. They should also have good interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Previous work experience in research projects would be preferred. 

The appointee will work on research projects related to welfare attitudes and social policies in Hong Kong. They will be responsible for recruiting participants, conducting interviews and focus group discussions, analyzing the data, writing literature reviews, and performing other assigned research-related duties.

A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experiences will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
