Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 530068)

We are looking for a Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant to join the Department of Physics. 

The Role

The appointee will primarily be responsible for performing administrative duties related to event organization, outreach and promotion activities, and matters concerning the Areas of Excellence project.  He/She will provide general administrative support to the Department in various areas and perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A Bachelor’s degree;
  • 2 to 5 years’ secretarial or administrative experience;
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); 
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Strong IT skills (including basic webpage editing) and/or experience in finance-related task is preferred; and
  • A good team player, be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to multitask. 

Applicants with lower qualification or less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
