Pharmacy Administrative Officer (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 531094), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Diploma or above with minimum 2 years relevant work experience in community, hospital pharmacy, healthcare, or University setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably at least 1 year of relevant work experience in community, hospital pharmacy, healthcare, or University setting. They should have a good command of written English and Chinese; good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; strong computer literacy, for example Microsoft Office Applications; willingness to learn, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The appointee will be working closely with pharmacists in the HKUMed Community Pharmacy and responsible for supporting administrative duties of the pharmacy operation in various aspects, such as procurement, logistics, reporting, and documentations for legal compliance. Candidates with procurement, administrative or dispensing experience in the pharmacy setting would be given higher priority.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in procurement administrative duties, including liaising with pharmaceutical companies on stock ordering, receiving goods delivered with invoice, and filing, checking and uploading invoice to procurement systems
  • Work closely with pharmacists in coordinating the dispensing area and storage room, including loading and unloading of goods, and refilling dispensing area stock under pharmacist supervision
  • Checking of pharmacy income reports and submission of transactional reports of selected items to pharmaceutical companies regularly
  • Maintain high standard of record keeping ensuring completeness of legal documents and records
  • Support pharmacists in day-to-day administrative management e.g. data entry, replenishment of consumables, twice daily log of pharmaceutical fridge
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by pharmacists

Details:

  • 5-day work week (10:00am – 6:45pm) (1-hour lunch inclusive), no shift is required
