IT Technician in the Department of Anaesthesiology (Ref.: 531175), to commence as soon as possible for 1 year on temporary basis,  with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Diploma or above in information technology (IT), computer science or related disciplines. Preferably with at least 3 years of work experience in education institutes or IT. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential, alongside excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility. The capacity to multitask and work independently is also crucial. 

The appointee will provide technical support to the department. Responsibilities include:

  • Offer technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software and network connectivity issues
  • Support IT projects/solutions, system upgrades, data security management, web application development, and multimedia editing
  • Provide support for classrooms, events, and teaching activities
  • Manage IT inventory, including tracking equipment and software licenses to ensure compliance and availability
  • Conduct computer/server configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Work on web-based platforms, web servers/applications, website/CMS, and programming tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
