Full/Part-time Research Assistant II in the Centre for Psycho-oncology Research & Teaching and the Division of Behavioural Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 531246) (to commence as soon as possible for a one-year temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology, social sciences, sport science, or related disciplines. A strong command of both spoken and written Chinese and English is essential, along with good communication and interpersonal skills. They should have knowledge of basic statistics and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as English and Chinese word processing. They should be a self-motivated and organized team player. Experience in research and using SPSS for data analysis is highly preferred, and a keen interest in psycho-oncology research would be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for conducting cancer patient recruitment in clinical settings, performing face-to-face and phone assessments with patients, assisting in data analysis, compiling progress reports, and undertaking other assigned duties. He/She will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team from the HKU Jockey Club Institute of Cancer Care on an implementation study, with potential involvement in CBT-based intervention studies for cancer patients.
