Full-Time / Part-time Research Manager (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant or Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 534398) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in the field of education, Chinese language, reading psychology, evaluation, or related discipline, with at least one-year post-qualification research experience in the related field; or a Ph.D. degree in the field of education or related discipline. He/She should be proficient in written and spoken in Chinese and English, exhibit good interpersonal and organizational skills and be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Priority will be given to those who have research experience in the field of Chinese language education and knowledge of the local education context in Hong Kong. Applicants possess a Ph.D. degree will be considered for appointment at the rank of Post-doctoral Fellow.
The appointee will work on a project on promoting students’ self-directed learning and Chinese online reading competencies. He/She will assist the Project Leader in overseeing the research aspects of the project, analyse quantitative and qualitative data and findings, translate research findings into practice and transform into teachers' teaching resources, write up research reports, produce academic papers, present in local and international conferences, and perform other duties as assigned.
