Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Master of Arts in the field of Translation (MAT) programme in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 534540), to commence on September 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Translation Studies or a related field and at least three years’ post-qualification teaching experience at the tertiary level. They should have a proven track record of excellence in teaching Chinese-English translation and/or interpreting courses. Preference will be given to those with expertise in computer-assisted and AI-enhanced translation technologies.
The appointee will be responsible for teaching MAT and undergraduate courses, supervising final projects/dissertations, conducting tutorials and workshops, supporting curriculum design, and assisting with the administrative work of the programme and other related duties as assigned.
