Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Department of Civil Engineering (Ref.: 534593) (to commence in July 2026, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience. Non-degree holders with at least 5 years’ relevant experience will also be considered. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; IT proficiency and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet tight deadlines. They should also be attentive to details, a good team player with self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility.

The appointee will be responsible for the Department’s finance administration and will: 

  • provide administrative support to the budgeting and financial matters of the Department, including procurement administration, processing of payments, purchase orders, invoices and reimbursement claims, maintain inventory of equipment, etc;
  • manage grants and donation through communication and coordination with different stakeholders;
  • assist in budgetary control planning, preparation of statement and reports and undertake other duties as assigned.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
