Senior Research Assistant (several posts) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 534616) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term or a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree with at least one year’s post qualification experience or a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline. Excellent skills and knowledge in virology and molecular biology is essential. Preference will be given to those with experience in conducting virology research using cell line in the biosafety level 2 laboratory.
The appointees will work on research projects on influenza virus. They will participate in research planning and implementation, provide training and supervision to junior research staff and postgraduate students, and prepare reports.
