Technical Officer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Ref: 535065) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Opening is available with specialisation in Electronic Engineering. Applicants should possess a recognised bachelor’s degree/higher diploma in Electronic Engineering or related disciplines, with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in electronics, electrical engineering or networking. Those with more than 10 years of relevant working experience with less than post-qualification will also be considered. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English, as well as computer literacy. They should also demonstrated confidence in working independently, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Those with a first-aid training certificate are desirable.
The appointee will provide comprehensive technical services for staff in teaching and research activities, manage and ensure the laboratories safety, purchase and repair equipment, prepare and maintain technical documentation, assist project students, and perform other duties as assigned.
