Technical Manager (holding the  functional title of Project Manager) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536170) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Health, Data Science or a related discipline, with at least 8 years' project management experience in large-scale multicenter clinical studies.  They should have hands-on experience coordinating with various stakeholders and departments, demonstrated expertise in budgeting and logistics coordination, and excellent client-facing, communication and presentation skills.  Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask are also essential.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an excellent command of both spoken and written Chinese and English are required.

The appointee is expected to provide overall coordination and operational oversight of the studies, ensuring alignment with project milestones and ethics approvals.  Responsibilities include managing daily operations such as recruitment, assessments, and engagement activities; supervising field teams to ensure protocol fidelity, participant safety, and quality control; developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress; employing verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs; overseeing budget management, procurement, and expenditure tracking; coordinating among project partners and stakeholders; leading risk management and contingency planning; maintaining comprehensive project documentation; preparing interim and final progress reports; overseeing recruitment, publicity, and logistics for education events; and collaborating with clinicians to implement new technologies for process improvement.  He/She should also be able to motivate the project team to enhance productivity.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualification and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
