Senior Academic Programme Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref: 536399) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. Those with prior experience in management of taught postgraduate programmes, student matters and marketing/event management is highly preferred. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. A strong sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, ability to multitask and to solve problems effectively are essential. Working outside normal office hours may be required.
The appointee will play a key role in supporting academic programmes and administrative operations within the department. The appointee will also be involved in marketing, social media promotion and management of events. The role also entails supervising and mentoring junior staff members in related duties.
