Senior Executive Assistant, Communications and Public Relations (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 536434) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, with around 3 to 5 years of full-time work experience in event management, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Experience in marketing / PR / event management agency are preferred. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); outstanding project management and problem-solving skills; a solid understanding of digital marketing channels; and the ability to multitask under pressure. They should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a mature mindset and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally. They should also be a keen learner with a curious mindset, willing to take that extra step to explore new ideas and contribute proactively.
This role is responsible for integrated marketing and communications that support the Faculty’s profile, including annual campaign planning, event planning/management, execution, and content/script development, while also contributing to activities that help grow pipeline and engagement outcomes such as program interest, stakeholder relationships, and collaboration leads.
The appointee will support the Faculty’s Communications and Public Relations Team in planning, developing, and implementing corporate communications and digital marketing initiatives for brand promotion. Responsibilities of the appointee include, but not limited to:
• providing execution support to the team in planning, coordinating, and implementing communication and promotion initiatives such as PR & events, digital marketing, branding & marketing projects;
• supporting event management, including organization, communication, logistics, on-site assistance, handling inquiries, and other coordination tasks required by event teams;
• supporting PR initiatives, including liaising with the media, handling media inquiries, arranging media interviews, organizing press conferences, and preparing media reports;
• developing press collaterals and promotional content across various platforms, including print and online publications, websites, and social media;
• developing engaging content and assisting in managing social media platforms, including handling social media postings, monitoring, and responding to social media posts;
• collaborating closely with internal and external parties to ensure smooth operations and effective project management; and
• assisting with general administration and undertaking ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
