Senior Laboratory Assistant (holding the functional title of Senior Phlebotomist) in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 537044) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong, preferably with at least 2 years of full-time experience as a phlebotomist. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese) and good blood collection skills. They should also be organized, responsible, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
The appointee will assist with various ongoing hospital and community field studies on infectious disease epidemiology and/or vaccine trials. He/She will perform venipuncture, assist with participant recruitment and follow-up activities, and perform other duties as assigned under the supervision of Professor K.K.W. To.
