Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Division of Health Economics, Policy and Management, School of Public Health (Ref.: 526176), to commence as soon as possible for up to one year on temporary term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, preferably in public health, public policy, economics, political science, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English. They should be self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work well in a team. Previous experience in research, curriculum development and/or teaching in health economics, health financing, health policy, or public health is essential. Experience in conducting applied health economics or health systems research in a Southeast Asian context is desirable.

 

The appointee will contribute to a collaborative teaching and research project based in Cambodia. This is a full-time position and based in Hong Kong, although travel to Cambodia is envisioned. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor Karen Grépin at kgrepin@hku.hk.
